Epping Uniting Church

Our mission: to live as a gracious, inclusive Christian community seeking to €œact justly, love kindness and walk humbly with God.€ (Micah 6:8)

We believe that God is active in the world, sharing our tears and laughter, reaching out to people through people.

We believe that God whose Spirit encounters our lives daily, is revealed in the person and story of Jesus Christ, and is the basis of our mission as a Christian church.

We acknowledge the Wallamadagal people, original inhabitants of the land in this region for millennia.

We celebrate human diversity, and believe that the way we relate to one another makes a positive difference to the world. We feel strongly that human communities should promote justice, fairness, dignity and respect for all peoples.

We celebrate the bio-diversity of the planet, accepting that human beings have a responsibility to be concerned for and act in support of the whole of creation.

We encourage theological enquiry and discussion, believing that our faith and knowledge are important for informed opinion, and a creative diversity of political and social views. We encourage passionate, courteous and stimulating conversation in our meetings and small groups. We encourage careful and respectful listening to one another.

We promote artistic creativity through the creative arts, theological reflection, music and worship.

We are in covenant relationship with other Christian Churches Anglican, Catholic and Baptist in Epping and Carlingford, sharing regular combined activities in worship, education and action for social justice.
